Description Guillaume Desmottes 2009-10-21 11:55:14 UTC
When creating a new account, the "connect" button is unsensitive until all the requiered params are filled. But users don't have any indication to identify such params.

Nick: Mpt: Any suggestion about the best way to show this information in the UI?
Comment 2 Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2010-01-27 06:08:38 UTC
Using 2.29.5.1 from the Telepathy PPA, I don't see a "Connect" button anywhere.

If you mean the "Log [I]n" button, there seem to be very few cases ("People Nearby" > "Nickname" and "IRC" > "Quit message") where a field shown by default is *not* required. I suggest fixing those specific cases, either by hiding them inside an existing "Advanced" section, or by adding " (Optional)" to their labels.
Comment 3 Nick Richards 2010-01-27 16:00:57 UTC
Totally agreed with mpt.
