When I export a diagram to an image format (e.g. .png), it appears corrupted and some parts of it are ruined.

Sorry, you need to be more specifc to make this report useful. There are known issues about clipping borders (see bug #147386) and also with overlapping tesxt when using cairo (see bug #573261). Please also note which of the three PNG exporters you are using.

I used both, Cairo PNG normal and Cairo PNG with Alpha and both produce the same problem.

And yes, the text seems to overlap a lot.

Not using cairo (disableing the cairo plug-in) should help you avoid the problem. Also from my current understanding changing to a different font might help. See duplicate.
