GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 597081
gnome-shell from git displays the bar on one screen and the menu on another
Last modified: 2009-11-12 22:50:26 UTC
Created attachment 144572 [details] menu on one, bar on two. Multihead support is much better in git than the F12 packages, so thanks for that. I do have an issue where my primary monitor has been assigned the right hand monitor, and my secondary is left. gnome-shell seems to put the bar on the primary display, but the menu on the left-handmost display. It makes sense for me to have them both on the left-handmost screen, although it would be acceptable to have them both on the primary screen and for me to file a bug with the xrandr capplet to expose what screen it defines as primary. If you do the latter, it's very hard to hit the top left of activities rather than just throwing your mouse up and left, if you know what I mean. Screenshot shows problem nicely. Thanks.
