Description Philip Muskovac 2009-07-30 18:25:28 UTC
In Nautilus with icon view, when you open a folder with lots of files, i.e. photos, and scroll down while thumbnails for photos are being created, the view will constantly scroll up, because thumbnails take more space than ordinary system icons (especially thumbnails for vertical pictures) and push icons below downwards.

This behavior makes it impossible to navigate through the folder before all thumbnails have been created, which can be extremely annoying with hundreds of pictures in one place. Things like selecting a couple of files or finding the right one to click on it become very hard to do.

Although this bug talks about scrolling _up_ and bug 143817 talks about scrolling _down_, I think they are essentially about the same issue. I would suggest marking this one as a duplicate of the older bug.
