Description Paolo Benvenuto 2009-05-28 08:26:57 UTC
Trunk

I'm experimentig copying/moving images with the mouse inside gthumb.

------------

Moving/copying to a directory in the directory pane without waiting for the images of the destination directory been shown:

- stuffs that work:
-- moving images

-stuffs that doesn't work:
-- you can't copy the images. You expect (gimp style) that pressing the shift key when dropping the images changes mode to copy instead of move, but this doesn't happen: the cursor doesn't change and the images are moved

------------

Moving/copying to a directory after the images of the destination directory are shown (after the mouse lays some second on a directory):

- stuffs that work:
-- pressing the shift key changes the copy/move mode

-stuffs that doesn't work:
-- the images aren't copied nor moved: they remain where they are

--------------

The user expect that the policy of copying/moving be like nautilus one:
- without shift: move if dest in the same partition, copy if other partition;
- with shift: the contrary.
However, gthumb appears to want to move the image is shift isn't pressed, either if same or other partition. I think the nautilus policy is preferrable.
