Description David Nielsen 2009-04-05 11:38:21 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When adding an avi video file to the Sansa Fuze it correctly transfers but when you try to open it on the device it tells you that it needs to be converted using their Sansa Media tool to play.

It would be nice if we could handle such situations

Steps to reproduce:
1. attach Sansa Fuze
2. Drag avi video to device
3. eject and unplug device
4. wait for the database to be updated then browse to the video and attempt to play it

Actual results:
The Sansa displays an error saying the file needs to be converted

Expected results:
Video file should have played, if files cannot be transcoded an error should be displayed saying the format the Fuze uses internally is currently unsupported and ask that they file a bug with SanDisk.

Does this happen every time?
100%
