Description Steve Tyler 2009-03-05 18:49:06 UTC
If a weather station does not report for days or months, weather apps may report stale observations as though current.

This enhancement would add support for identifying stale observations in weather apps. If an observation is older than a configurable number of hours, an app could display "???" or a special icon.

This also happened for Holešov, Czech Republic.

It is reported here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libgweather/+bug/508124

But similar thing can be seen in this bug
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606557

User should be informed that the observation is old and thus useless. A real solution would be using different/more data sources. Currently there doesn't seems to be any workaround for Holešov, while there is a workaround for Coventry.

Thanks for commenting on this problem with stale weather observations.

From the attached screenshot, it looks like there are only five alternatives to Holešov, with Brno and Ostrava being the closest.
