Description William Jones 2009-02-26 01:16:17 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Received some Email messages through verizon.net. They included .tif files as attachments. Only one page of each attachment was displayed. Each message included two .tif pages. Original was received through FireFox. Msoft XP and Firefox on the same computer did work properly.

Steps to reproduce:
1.Receive an Email through verizon.net with a .tif attachment.
2. The attachment must be two or more pages long.
3. Firefox uses Eye of Gnome as the default viewer for these attachments. Only the first page of the attachment will be displayed.

Actual results:
See last statement.

Expected results:
All pages of the .tif attachment should be displayed.

Does this happen every time?
The bug is consistent on my computer, described below.

Other information:
HP m7259c computer. AMD 64 X2 processor. openSUSE 11.1 64-bit operating system, with Gnome as the chosen GUI. Firefox 3 is the Internet program, using Verizon fiber optics for connection.

Known problem, but a solution is very unlikely in eog. If you receive such documents regularly I'd set evince as default for TIFFs as it is better suited for such documents. If you have more single-page TIFFs than multipage you could also use eog's "Open With" menu item which should allow to open the image in evince on a case-by-case basis.
