GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 563538
Ability to permanently delete photo via keyboard shortcut (Shift-Del)
Last modified: 2013-08-12 17:25:23 UTC
There is currently the option to delete a photo from media using the Del keyboard shortcut. I prefer to permanently delete photos when working with removable flash media, to free up space without having to empty the wastebin. In other Gnome components, the Shift-Del keyboard shortcut performs this action - it would be great if EOG could follow this convention :)

Wondering why this isn't in yet. I remember looking into this, but forgot why it wasn't implemented. :S Retargeting to 3.8 so I at least try to take a look at it again.
Created attachment 239004 [details] [review] Activated shortcut to remove one or more images permanently. Previous to delete the user is asked to confirm the action. Do you think that it would be a good idea to include a new edit menu entry for this action?
