Description:
I am using gnome 1.4, and I have set my screensaver to atlantis, start after 20 minutes, and "use power management" after 20 minutes.  I have configured my
XF86Config-4 for DPMS  (works on other machines).

I start X using startx.

However, my monitor never turns off.  I contacted nvidia and they said:

>Does `xset dpms force off` work?

>If not, let us know.  If it does work, then it's most likely a
>configuration issue.


It did work, so I think there is a problem with the control-panel caplet
