Description atremblay 2008-09-30 13:24:52 UTC
Hi,
This has to do with the Contact list. Whenever I set up a contact list, it works great. The only problem is if someone in the list has a change of email address, once I update the email address for the contact, the address is not automatically changed in the contact list. I have some contacts that appear in many list. Whenever someone changes email, I have to go through evey contact lists to see if a change in the contact list is required.
Could the contact list be tied directly to the information in the Contact so that if information is changed about a contact, it is also changed in the list ( name or email address).

Thanks

Andre Tremblay

I don't feel it's a feasible solution. It's an over head to search all the places (contact list / address book) and replace email id.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
