Description Andrew Clausen 2008-09-27 18:19:42 UTC
Please describe the problem:
gnome-terminal doesn't render the character "कि" correctly. All other gnome applications work correctly. Gnome-terminal puts the vertical bar on the left side, rather than the right side.

Details: This character, often transliterated as "ki", is a combination of the character "ka", which is "क", with an "-i" decoration, much like e is decorated with ' to get é in latin languages. Gnome-terminal incorrectly adds the decoration to the right side, when it should be on the left.

Steps to reproduce:
cut & paste "कि" into gnome-terminal

Actual results:
it's rendered incorrectly.

Expected results:
render the same as other gnome applications (like gedit, xchat, etc.)

Does this happen every time?
yes

Comment 4 Andrew Clausen 2008-10-04 22:45:53 UTC
Yes, looks like a duplicate.

The bugzilla search tool doesn't work, so I couldn't look for duplicates. It's been down for a week?!
