Description Luca Ferretti 2008-06-11 20:47:13 UTC
Current status:
The cover art is showed below the source list. The actual image size depends
on pane width, hiding entries in source list

Proposed UI:
Something like current Banshee could be better: put a small (48x48? 64x64?)
cover art image near curren song area, and show a frameless window when you
mouseover it with the cover at full size (see attached screenshot). This can

   * save space for source list (more space == you don't have to scoll)
   * reduce "visual noise" in main UI (too much "boxes": sources,
     browser, songs, cover)
   * reduce CPU usage adjusting pane size (don't have to redraw the cover)

Banshee screenshot with proposed layout

Note: there was some issues grabbing this shot... gnome-screenshot seems unable to grab the large cover art frameless window too.
