Description macabre 2001-03-24 19:48:46 UTC
Whenever I create a new image, or try to update an already existing image,
the save window just freezes. It's doesn't save anything, but the window is
completely greyed out. I've tried deleting my ".gimp" directory and trying
it over again, but no cookie! :(

Re-assigning all Gimp bugs to default component owner (Gimp bugs list)
Comment 2 Raphaël Quinet 2001-08-10 13:08:15 UTC
Can you try with version 1.2.2 of the Gimp and report if the problem
is still there? If you still have the same problem, then please
provide more details (version of GTK+ library, any GTK+ theme used,
and so on). If the problem has disappeared, then please tell us so
that we can close this bug report.

This sounds like the famous "MDK can't build working Gtk+ applications"
problem but since the given information is very vague I hope to
get some more from the reportauthor.
Comment 4 Raphaël Quinet 2001-12-05 16:37:53 UTC
I assume that it was a Mandrake-specific problem related to GTK+,
similar to what is described in bug #55735, bug #55398 or bug #57701.
This is not a Gimp problem and there are some fixes available from
the Mandrake site.
