Description jellegeerts 2008-03-15 00:33:21 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The clipboard contents are lost after locking and unlocking GNOME.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Put something on the clipboard.
2. Lock GNOME (make the screensaver active).
3. Unlock the computer.

Actual results:
The clipboard is erased.

Expected results:
The data should be kept in memory and put back on the clipboard after unlocking GNOME.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
In bug report #482159 a security hole was discussed, the data on the clipboard could be used in the "Leave Message" function while the screen was locked. The bug was fixed in a bad way in my opinion (because it introduces data loss).
