GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 509849
unable to come out from full screen mode
Last modified: 2008-04-27 00:21:58 UTC
Please describe the problem: If you watch a movie in a full screen mode, and the press the key "1" then it is impossible to come out of free screen mode. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open and play any movie in totem (http://www.redhat.com/v/ogg/TruthHappens.ogg for example) 2. Press "f" key to go into full screen mode. 3. Press "1" key Actual results: Now it is impossible to come out from full screen mode. Pressing "f" does not bring you out of full screen mode anymore. Expected results: Pressing "f" should bring me back into normal mode. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
Bad. Which version of Totem are you using?
totem-2.20.1-2.fc8 (standard Fedora 8 install)
I had the similar problem in ubuntu. I don't remember if i pressed the "1" key. But there where times where totem would lock in fullscreen and i couldn't get out. but i did come up with a way to get out of it. open totem and if it's still in fullscreen open shell and type "totem -fullscreen" and close totem and reopen it should be in windowed mode. it worked for me. let me know if this worked for you.
When i start totem with 'totem --fullscreen <movie>' i cannot get out of fullscreen mode either. Tried to get out of fullscreen mode with 'f' and the button on the top-right corner. Using totem-xine-2.20.1-1.lvn8 (fedora 8 & livna repository)

That's a different bug (in metacity this time) that should be fixed in 2.22.X *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 477529 ***
