GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 495664
PDF incorrectly rendered, text appears filled with color
Last modified: 2008-11-13 15:16:26 UTC
Please describe the problem: Hi!, I'm reading a book in pdf format but I have to constantly highlight some parts of the text in order to make it visible, in some parts the text appears completely fill with a color (sometimes green or yellow) so I suspect that maybe if I see it on acrobat reader that text would appear underline[1] but in evince is completely filled and can't be seen (except for the workaround of highlighting it). [1] Is just a guess as I've not tried to view it on acrobat reader yet Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information: I will attach a screenshot showing the problem
Created attachment 98877 [details] Screenshot of the bug As you see, I have to highlight the buggy text in order to read it.

Hi Nelson, thank you very much for the bug report. Could you attach here the pdf file, please?
Umm, the entire pdf is 3.2 MB so it can't be attached to bugzilla, also is a copyrighted book so I don't know if I can publish it entirely in internet, this leads me to several questions: 1) how can I save several pages of a pdf as a new pdf on evince?, this is very easy from acrobat just selecting pages on the sidebar and choosing "save as new pdf", so I presume I have to file an enhancement request for this in evince or if you know that request exists tell me so I can cc to it :). 2) I can email you the entire pdf to your email address if you are ok with it.
