GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 487931
Can't exit from fullscreen
Last modified: 2007-10-18 16:38:18 UTC
This report has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/153655 "When using Totem, occasionally it can't exit from fullscreen mode. The best way I have been able to reproduce this consistently is by using --fullscreen. This also happens when using vmplayer in full screen. The application tries to exit but flicks back to full screen immediately. I am using fully up to date gutsy install. "

How do you reproduce this? Which window manager are you using? Which version of Totem?
If you run totem from the command line with: "totem something.mpg &" and then you execute in the same terminal totem --fullscreen it toggle the fullscreen which is ok, but if you run totem with "totem --fullscreen something.mpg &" and try to exit the fullscreen by toggling it again with "totem --fullscreen" it get out of the fullscreen mode and then enter again, the same happens if you click on the leave the fullscreen option in the fullscreen window. I used to reproduce the bug Metacity 2.20 and Totem 2.20, thanks!.
Right, so "totem --fullscreen" on startup doesn't work nicely. I know, I filed a bug about it :) It gets all confused about its state if you pass --fullscreen to the first instance. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 376149 ***
