Description Sebastien Bacher 2007-10-06 14:37:37 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149478

"Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

Epiphany (like firefox) will download a file into [filename].part before renaming the .part-part away (this does not happen when selecting "Save Link As"). If the part file is moved while downloading, the download will hang in epiphany until you click stop.
At 100% the browser should re-check the files location and not assume the default location to successfully rename the part file.

To reproduce:
1. Right click a link and select "Download Link"
2. While downloading, move the file to another location on the same filesystem.
3. Observe the download dialog as download finishes.

Will probably be fixed by porting to the toolkit downloader, but need to re-check once that's done.
Comment 2 Diego Escalante Urrelo (not reading bugmail) 2011-07-31 00:27:24 UTC
We now download directly to the destination, there's bug #651117 for handling finish/open errors. Closing this.
