GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 48081
Creating a new folder in a folder with manual layout doesn't position folder under mouse
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When using the mouse (right menu) to create a new folder in a folder that is using the manual layout, the new folder should appear directly under the mouse. It instead appears at the end after the last icon. * REPRODUCIBLE: Always * STEPS TO REPRODUCE: Open a folder with several icons; move some of them around, switching on manual layout if needed; right click in an empty area above some icons and choose "New Folder" * ACTUAL RESULTS: The new folder appears below / past all other icons. * EXPECTED RESULTS: The new folder should appear where the mouse was right clicked. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2001-04-16 08:55:54 ---- Definitely something we talked about before and plan to do. I'm surprised there was no bug report about this. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-04-16 13:08:17 ---- Different bug, but same theme as 7944 ("Pasted files do not appear near mouse pointer") ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 21:18 ------- The original reporter (greg@brim.net) of this bug does not have an account here. Reassigning to the exporter, unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org.
