GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 476027
Add to Address Book should not allow blank address book
Last modified: 2007-12-09 00:27:41 UTC
If I right click on an email address in an email message and select "Add to Address Book", and I don't have a default address book selected, I should not be allowed to click "Ok" until I have an address book selected. Right now, I can click "Ok" with Address Book as blank, and it will silently fail to add the entry anywhere. Ideally, if no default address book is set, it will use the first one possible, and will not allow me to enter "blank" as an address book at all. I tried adding several emails to my address book before I realized it wasn't working because the address book was blank. I shouldn't have been allowed to click Ok if I didn't have the address book selected, or at least should've gotten an error message, not a silent failure. Other information: This is related to bug #476025.
i also do not have the "default" value (right-click and choose properties) set for any addressbooks, and it still works. how could you manage to get a blank entry? it's not possible here, can i get a screenshot?
