Description rick 2001-09-10 01:10:45 UTC
I run the eazel-installer script in /h/public/bin
-r-xr-xr-x    1 65534    root      4709832 Mar  6 23:42 eazel-installer-rpm4

This is the one I tried. I receive no install.log because it doesnt get far
enough into the install for the log to be created. Currently using rh7.0

* REPRODUCIBLE: Always

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

run /h/public/bin/eazel-installer.sh and i get a crashed window.

* ACTUAL RESULTS:

 nothing .. no log no nothing. Had robey gdb it and he asked that i file a
buggy.

* EXPECTED RESULTS:

  upgraded from my old hourly build to the latest and greatest

------- Additional Comments From robey-bugs@lag.net 2001-03-07 15:01:25 ----

it literally crashes somewhere in the bowels of gnome_init, while doing some
gdk_pixbuf stuff. i'm stumped. i gave rick an installer i built myself (a
non-tinderbox installer) and the bug didn't happen anymore.

------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2001-03-07 17:09:03 ----

The tinderbox installer is no longer a 1.0 blocker. We're hand-building those
puppies from now on.

------- Additional Comments From robey-bugs@lag.net 2001-03-08 22:32:31 ----

this is probably related to bug 47574.

------- Additional Comments From mjs@noisehavoc.org 2001-03-09 11:59:49 ----

I think I fixed this, and I think it can potentially be an issue for a
non-tinderbox installer (I think Dan was getting this)

------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-12 21:30:41 ----

We're no longer using Tinderbox builds, and this problem has not recurred in the
past few days of testing the manually built-installers.

Marking Verified.
