Currently, the user has to set the thread_expand key manually via gconf-editor. This sucks.

Since the main UI is overwhelmed, a normal plugin (as proposed in patch 94017) doesn't really fit the need.

So it's desired to have this option in an Advanced Settings Dialog.

Unfortunately a trend to "sim0plify UI" kicked off more useful options than just this one. I'm WontFix-ing this.
