Description johnston 2001-09-10 00:59:01 UTC
While Nautilus is starting, the desktop blanks out to a white/grey background,
then returns the background to it's normal state. The desktop remains grey for a
good 3 seconds or more on a PII 300 w/ 128mb RAM and a Matrox G100. This only
occurs if Nautilus is set to draw the desktop.

I've got gnome and gmc controlling my desktop as well.

Ideally, should Nautilus not just change to the set background colour from the
start, as opposed to setting it to grey, and then setting it to the desired
colour?
