GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 45917
what should the working directory of a double-clicked program be?
Last modified: 2006-12-26 18:29:29 UTC
When you double-click on a program, it seems to start up with a working directory of whatever working directory Nautilus was started in, which will frequently not be a particularly useful one, especially if Nautilus was started from the GUI rather than from the command line. Perhaps the program should be started with a working directory of either the directory currently visible in Nautilus, or of the user's home directory. ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2001-01-22 15:51:25 ---- Nice bug. Let's solve this in 1.0.1. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-26 11:18:49 ---- SPAAAAAAAAAM! Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
This seems easily fixable and is still an issue.
I think there is a dup of this around somewhere. Very, very tentatively marking 2.2.

Dave, is this something relevant to what you're doing with scripts?
