Description rob.stewart 2007-07-09 23:52:34 UTC
Version: 2.10

When user has IM client "pidgin" installed, rather than "gaim" then Evolution (v 2.10.2) will crash every time when user clicks "synchronize with buddy list now". This is because it is looking for the file $HOME/.gaim/blist.xml .

The stdder is:

I/O warning : failed to load external entity "$HOME/.gaim/blist.xml"
bbdb: Could not open Gaim buddy list.

***MEMORY-ERROR***: evolution[29996]: GSlice: assertion failed: sinfo->n_allocated > 0

This is very easy to replicate, and will crash evolution every time.

Regards.

Marking as duplicate, because it has been fixed there and even when I move the folder out, then it doesn't crash.
