Description Ivan Zlatev 2007-04-26 14:44:35 UTC
I believe that instead of using a drop down menu with formatting and other options it would be much more user friendly, convinient and will also save mouse clicks to have half of the height of the current toolbar (basically smaller toolbar with smaller icons), populated with the things that are now in the menu.
Comment 1 Sandy Armstrong 2007-04-26 14:48:50 UTC
Personal opinion: This would make the current toolbar features very hard to use (search, link, tools, tags, delete). Though it might be interesting to offer the Text menu as a second level of toolbar. I think one issue is that people keep their note windows small, so most formatting options will still have to be retrieved with the extra mouse clicks.

Setting the default assignee and QA Contact to "tomboy-maint@gnome.bugs".

I vote against this. It's two years old and had no activity. Expanding the toolbar on demand doesn't solve much imo, especially if (according to the mockup) rather popular items like "bold" are hidden by default.
I'd be glad if we could move to a smaller menu bar, but changing the layout just doesn't seem to solve a real world problem for me.

WONTFIX acc. to me.

WONTFIXing myself.

Actually, I'm reopening this. I would like the Tomboy toolbar to be customizable, as this sort of request is very common. I just can't prioritize the work right now.
Comment 7 Benjamin Melançon 2014-11-06 17:32:17 UTC
Customizing is not just adding.

I would like to remove the Delete button from the toolbar on notes.

Can we mark the status confirmed?

And as an aside, while i have no C# experience i do have some programming experience so if there's any introduction to getting into the code beyond <a href="https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Tomboy/Developers">getting the code</a>.
