Description indarios 2007-04-10 02:07:50 UTC
It would be really useful If one could set in the notification options the ability when closing xchat-gnome to instead minimize to the notification tray. Like what gaim, banshee, or azureus does. I find myself still trying to get used to not closing out of xchat-gnome and instead clicking on the icon in the try, since I'm so used to it with my other apps. Its kinda annoying finding out 15 minutes later that I closed out of xchat-gnome by accident, haha.

You can do this already. Turn on the notification plugin, and set the options to always show the icon. Clicking on the icon will then hide the window.

I'm aware of this, but when you hit the [x] like you were to close out of the program It does close out of It. This sounds silly but you can do this in banshee, gaim, azureus.. etc. Where when you hit [x] it instead minimizes to the system tray. I'm just saying that adding the feature to "closing the window minimizes to the system tray" option would help make xchat-gnome fit in with certain peoples desktops better (like mine).
