It would be useful if there were a "rb:coverArt-uri" metadata type on the bus.  This could be emitted by web radio and free content sources for embedded or associated uris without having to worry about pulling down a pixbuf.

The cover art plugin would listen for 'entry-extra-metadata-notify::rb:coverArt-uri', try to convert it to a pixbuf, and if successful re-emit it as a pixbuf for other consumers (e.g. the tray icon).
