GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 394662
Hand pointer still shown after entering a new directory
Last modified: 2011-03-31 17:52:08 UTC
Please describe the problem: If I create a new folder and then enter the folder by clicking it, the mouse pointer remains a hand even though there is nothing to click in the new empty folder. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new folder. 2. Enter the new folder by clicking it. Actual results: The mouse pointer is a hand. Expected results: The mouse pointer is an arrow. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: May be related to bug 315023.
Bug 315023, bug 394662 and bug 405447 are probably related/duplicates.
I tried most of the procedures described in the listed bugs without encountering the problem (I did switched to 'single-click mode')... Can anybody still reproduce this ? (tested on a 2.20.0 and 2.25.1)
I can reproduce this with the steps from this report; it happens with single click mode and browser view.

Same problem here, but only encountered using - an external HDD (on USB), - the single-click mode, - the same user session.
Changing component as part of ongoing bug reorganisation work.
