GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 380633
WikiMarkup plugin
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:41:22 UTC
As mentioned on the mailing list, I've created a plugin for automatically applying formatting styles when some markup is detected within the text: _underline_ #highlight# *bold* /italic/ |monospace| 'small' ==large== ===huge=== Want to get it merged into tomboy and don't want it to get lost, so I create this ticket.
Created attachment 77371 [details] The WikiMarkup plugin
Created attachment 77372 [details] The Underline plugin This plugin provides underlining.
Shipping Tomboy with this plugin enabled by default could confuse quite some people. Therefore this plugin should be disabled by default. Should adopt ticket #380636.
Setting the default assignee and QA Contact to "tomboy-maint@gnome.bugs".
Created attachment 117550 [details] WikiMarkup Addin for Tombay 0.7+ Any reason this wasn't adopted? I updated the code to conform to the new addin
Why this doesn't come with Tomboy? Also, where should one (a normal user) look for information on how to install it?

It would be really nice to have some wiki syntax support in Tomboy. I hope this plugin will be adopted in Tomboy. Actually, I'd love to see **real** wiki syntax support in Tomboy, e.g. http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/ which is used by Stack Overflow. Should I open a new issue for this enhancement request ?

I haven't heard a lot of feedback on this addin; I'll have to test it out this cycle. > Actually, I'd love to see **real** wiki syntax support in Tomboy, e.g. > http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/ which is used by Stack Overflow. > > Should I open a new issue for this enhancement request ? Yeah, please file a separate enhancement bug, and include a link to this bug for reference.
The Tomboy team has moved from GNOME Bugzilla to GitHub for bug reports and feature requests: https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy/issues/ Closing this report as NOTGNOME as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 781054) to keep tasks in one place. Please feel free to transfer this task to GitHub if this task is still valid in a recent Tomboy version. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
