GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 365119
can't see priority of messages
Last modified: 2018-09-18 08:50:20 UTC
That bug has been opened on: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/67681 "hi, how it is possible to see the priority of messages in the messages list ? I would like to have a column where I can see the priority "very hi/hi/normal/low/very low" like Thunderbird. regards Mathieu"
This bug seems to be a duplicate of this one http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364390.
When you compose a message, you can insert the priority by "Insert->Prioritize Message". But Evolution can't understand it when it receive the message.
The following text forwarded from Lonnie Borntreger <email@borntreger.com>. I guess this need a discussion or be closed. ------------------------------------ A LONG time ago in evolution development, it was decided that message priority would not be supported because it uses a non-standard header. Search the archives (about 2-3 years ago). Even though you can not do message priority on the sending side, there still is a way to use filters to support it on the receiving side. Just filter on the X-Priority header field, and if its 1 or 2, make the message red - and for 3 or 4 make the message blue. Lonnie Borntreger
