GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 364209
Some small but important features missing
Last modified: 2006-10-23 18:04:58 UTC
gthump is a real nice, if not the best, image browser. But there still a few features missing: - Option to open a picture in fullscreen when doubleclicking on a file - Using the mouse wheel to move to the next or previous picture - The Browserwindow should remember it's size and position when opeing the mext time - I often need to browse qouickly throug the directories, where my pictures are in. It is a bit slow because i have to go back in the containing directory all the time. Would be much better if klicking (one time) in the left directory list would show it's content in the right area (without changing the directory list). So one can look fast in all directories in one directory.
Some comments: 1) Double click action: interesting idea, though others have requested that it be used to launch gimp. See Bug 151250 – wanted: a preference for double-click action. 2) Mouse-wheel: duplicate of bug 364209. The developer doesn't like using thr scroll wheel for navigation. 3) Window size and position: duplicate of bug 167050. 4) Directory navigation: try Edit > Pref > Browser > Click policy > Activate with single click. Not exactly what you want, but it may speed things up for you. - Mike
Actually, item 4 is a duplicate of 328509. I'm closing this bug, since all the points are duplicates. Also, item 3 was fixed some time ago. gthumb does save the window size (but not the position, intentionally). Thanks for the suggestions. In the future, please submit a separate bug report for each item (after searching for duplicates), rather than grouping them together. This makes it easier to classify the bug reports, and makes it more likely that they will be dealt with properly. - Mike *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 328509 ***
