GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 358372
Displays tiny 'always on top' window
Last modified: 2007-12-31 15:44:14 UTC
Sometimes, beneath the bottom left corner of the nm-applet notification icon (I have my panel across the top of my screen). I get a tiny ~4x4 pixel window, this appears always on top, so above any fullscreen apps (such as vmplayer). I have used xwininfo on the window (I think I targetted the window correctly :-) ) giving: xwininfo: Window id: 0x1400031 "nm-applet" Absolute upper-left X: 511 Absolute upper-left Y: 23 Relative upper-left X: 511 Relative upper-left Y: 23 Width: 4 Height: 4 Depth: 24 Visual Class: TrueColor Border width: 0 Class: InputOutput Colormap: 0x20 (installed) Bit Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Backing Store State: NotUseful Save Under State: yes Map State: IsViewable Override Redirect State: yes Corners: +511+23 -509+23 -509-741 +511-741 -geometry 4x4+511+23
I haven't seen this in a long while... I think chpe was right about bug 379914 fixing this. Resolving, but if you can still reproduce, re-open please.
