Description Lupine 2006-09-12 11:58:28 UTC
With this new 2.8.x version of Evolution, I've noticed that when opening new email, the cursor is placed at the very bottom of every new email opened up. If I look at the far left side of the windo, I see that the flashing cursor is in fact the entire length of the email. Once I click into the message, then the cursor becomes the normal, single-line cursor and I scroll all the way back up to the top of the email to begin reading.

Sounds like yet another duplicate of bug 272708. Hrm, or the other one I recall but acn't find. ;) Anyway, same issue in either case...

Lupine, please just disable View / Caret Mode (maybe named Cursor Mode).

This is a common issue, since it is easy to enable Caret Mode by accident pressing the F7 accelerator.

Lupine, if disabling Caret Mode does not solve your issue, please feel free to reopen this bug report instantly.

That was it exactly, thank you so much. Guess it was just a bad coincident of me hitting F7 around the time I upgraded, but didn't notice.
