GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 353445
Popup confirmation on folder move
Last modified: 2012-02-07 22:14:47 UTC
I've accidentally moved several folders at a time either within the same account or to another account. Movig large amounts of messages or folders is not a frequent use case, and usually a mistake (especially with a trackpad). It would be nice if there was a confirmation dialog when moving folders or large amounts of messages to alleviate this.
Sorry... I'm against having more confirmation dialogs. I've seen Windows Vista and that was really enough.
I can't speak for vista... but this feature isn't uncommon. Kmail is configurable to have this type of option as well... In any case, I'm not suggesting having a pop up for moving every message or folder. I envisioned it only popping up with, "Are you sure you want to move these 13 folders?" Oh well...
There is a configurable option "Confirm when expunging a folder". Why not do the same with "Confirm on folder move"?
After moving a bunch of my imap-folders by mistake for the third time in 24 hours, I'm begging you, _please_ implement this.
