Description Pablo 2006-07-23 17:50:41 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In the library, when I have different albums with the same name, they aren't ordered properly when they are sorted by tracknumber or by album

Let's say, I have the album Greatest Hits by Bjork and Greatest Hits by Kenny G and I get this:

Track - Artist - Title
1 - Bjork - All if full of love
1 - Kenny G - Songbird
2 - Bjork - Hyperballad
2 - Kenny G - Sillhouette
3 - Bjork - Human Behavior
....

And so on

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
It seems that the Quod Libet guys fixed this... somehow.

This occurs because Rhythmbox doesn't currently understand what albums are, they are just treated as a bit of text. QL has albums as a first-class object, which can have an "album id" which is used to differentiate albums with the same name.

This is basically the same as bug 335168, so marking as a dupe.
