Description Meloni Dario 2006-07-12 06:55:42 UTC
When playing some m4a files the players goes crazy. It happens on the song ending or if I just forwarding to the next.
It start returning errors on any song it tries to play and it goes for all the list of songs giving an error playing each of them (even for other formats).
It's unblokable at all, trying to press the pause button doesn't give any response, I must close rhythmbox or wait until it crashes.
Comment 1 Meloni Dario 2006-07-12 07:23:45 UTC
It happends with banshee player too. But it returns a "not negotiated" error

What version of gst-plugins-base are you using? This sounds like a duplicate of bug 342789. The UI behaviour (that we don't give you a chance to stop it when it gets into this state) is covered in bug 329329.
Comment 3 Meloni Dario 2006-08-01 06:18:10 UTC
I'm using gstreamer 0.10 .
And both the problem I have reported are covered int both the bug.
Comment 4 Jonathan Matthew 2006-08-01 10:29:33 UTC
I'm after the exact version of the gst-plugins-base package. You can get this by running 'gst-inspect-0.10 playbin | grep Version'.
Comment 5 Meloni Dario 2006-08-01 10:58:33 UTC
The version is 0.10.7
Comment 6 Jonathan Matthew 2006-08-01 11:12:59 UTC
OK, thanks. Since the underlying problem that causes the song skipping has been fixed in GStreamer, and we've already got a bug for the UI problems, I'm marking this one as a duplicate.
