Description Adam Buchbinder 2006-06-02 20:13:56 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If a transaction acquires a split to Imbalance-USD, then is fixed so that it is balanced, the split to Imbalance-USD does not vanish.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Cause a transaction to be imbalanced.
2. Balance the transaction so that the value to Imbalance-USD is zero.

Actual results:
There is a zero-valued split to Imbalance-USD, even after check-and-repairing.

Expected results:
The split to Imbalance-USD should vanish.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, this is repeatable.

Sorry, this is a minor bug, not an enhancement.
Comment 3 Christian Stimming 2007-01-24 15:45:44 UTC
This bug still exists and is a nagging one. Related to bug#105803 bug#164317 which still creates these (useless) splits in the first place, instead of presenting other choices to the user.

Also in 2.1.1 on win32. Agree it is very annoying.

I can confirm this behavior as well on Windows 7; annoying yes, but I would classify severity as minor or low as it does not impede functionality in anyway.
