When you type something as for searching a file in a folder, a miniwindow is
shown showing what you type.
If the parent window is maximized, the miniwindow is partially hidden by the
border of the screen, but should be fully visible.

Confirming, this happens when there's no bottom panel.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
