Description Mitch 2006-05-18 13:48:03 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The recent 2.15.x series of gnome-terminal seems to resize itself (makes window
bigger generally) when opening new tabs or even switching between opened tabs.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Sart gnome terminal
2. open new tab
3. switch between tabs
4. Goto #2

Actual results:
Random resizing of terminal window

Expected results:
Window doesn't switch size

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
reverting back to 2.14.x series fixes the bug. Some recent change has introduced
the problem even though the changelog seems to imply this is fixed

        * src/terminal-window.c (terminal_window_set_size_force_grid):
Remove the old hack that was causing superfluous resize when a tab is
drag-n-dropped to a separate window. We'll see if regressions happen.
Closes bug #336325 (may open new ones ;).
