Description Duncan Lithgow 2006-04-18 15:59:46 UTC
Please describe the problem:
There is an encoding problem between the email view and the tasks view. Emails
which show fine do not all result in tasks which show fine.

Here are the headers:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Choose an email
2. Right click and choose 'convert to task'
3. View the resulting task and check for encoding problems

Actual results:
For example, the text below:
> start quote:
Studies 2005:
On 12 samples made of non-hydraulic (“cal aérea” in Spanish), cement
[clip]
They tried different mixes—trying to reduce the weight of the samples, eventually...
> end quote
becomes
> start quote
Studies 2005:
On 12 samples made from non-hydraulic lime (=93cal a=E9rea=94 in Spanish),=
cement
[clip]
They tried different mixes=97trying to reduce the weight of the samples,
eventually ...
> end quote

There are similar problems with an email containing the scandinavian characters
åøæ, which displays fine in the email view and has in the header:

Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="0-2034500996-1144391833=:64208"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Expected results:
exact same appearance as in the email view

Does this happen every time?
depends on the email, I have only seen it when converting emails containing
non-english latin characters.

Other information:
let me know if you want more examples.

Thanks, and indeed the patch seems to be doing the job. Nice one.
