GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 331698
mail-to-task attachments: encoding not converted
Last modified: 2006-07-03 14:11:50 UTC
Hi, i'm using the mail-to-task plugin. It works fine but when i'm creating a new task from an email with attached files, these files get inlined in the task body so i can't not extract them anymore. For exemple, i've created a task from an email with a translation file attached : here's what i get in the new task description : Description : --=-+xoB6D20QEe3+tQngXKZ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Bonjour, J'ai fait une passe compl?e sur GnomeSystemTools suite tes remarques. Ce devrait ?re mieux, il y avait vraiment des trucs louches. <snip> > > Bye :) --=-+xoB6D20QEe3+tQngXKZ Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=gnome-system-tools.HEAD.fr.po Content-Type: text/x-gettext-translation; name=gnome-system-tools.HEAD.fr.po; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit # French translation of gnome-system-tools. <snip> And as you can see, the text is not converted from 8859-15 to UTF-8 :/ Thanks
when a mail is encoded as base64, it's unreadable (see bug 339350). raising severity.
