Is it possible to show local playlists as children of the "Music Library" and if
it gets supoprted, could you show ipod (or other players) playlists as children
of the "ipod" in the left pane ?

the UI component of this has been fixed (child source patch has been commited to CVS HEAD), and the ipod playlists is a work in progress (and I believe there's already another bug for it, as well as it being on the feature request list, as well as someone asking about it once a week :)
