Description F.Chapman 2006-01-31 21:56:29 UTC
I cannot open some .psp files
Comment 1 Sven Neumann 2006-02-01 09:30:04 UTC
Not all features of the .psd format are supported because not all features of the .psd format are documented. There are already bug reports about this. Closing as duplicate.

A bit of a curiosity question, but was the bug reporter specifying the Paint Shop Pro format as opposed to the Photoshop format?
Older versions of Paint Shop Pro used the .psp extension and some of those files that i have i can't open in Gimp.
Comment 3 Michael Schumacher 2006-02-03 17:52:18 UTC
I'll reopen this and sert it to NEEDINFO. .psp != .psd, but the original report was too short to be useful. We have to know if this is really about Paintshop files and, if possible, an example file should be attached.
Comment 4 Alan Horkan 2006-05-23 18:20:50 UTC
last I checked the gimp PSP (paint shop pro) importer will reject more recent types. this report seems like a duplicate but if it is not the original reporter can reopen it.

Improve loading of Paint Shop Pro (.psp) files.
