GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 329190
cannot select forward style anymore
Last modified: 2006-01-30 13:07:36 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1 Package: Evolution Severity: enhancement Version: GNOME2.12.2 2.4.x Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: cannot select forward style anymore Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.x Description: Please describe your feature request: Why the heck has "forward as..." been removed from the "message" menu? Now, I have either use one forward style all the time (by default attachment) or go through gconf-editor. There even isn't any preferences item to set the preferred forward style. Please bring back the menu as it was prior to 2.4. Thanks, Johannes ------- Bug created by bug-buddy at 2006-01-30 11:10 -------
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. The Forward As submenu will be back in Evo 2.6. Unfortunately it can not be applied to 2.4 due to string changes (read: missing translations). Fixed in CVS. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 321640 ***
You are not right about no way to change this, though. ;) The Preferences do have a setting to set your preferred forward style. Although, granted, settings this on a case by case basis is tedious. That's why I got it back in. :) Edit / Preferences / Composer Preferences / General / Forward Style If you don't mind missing translations you can get this menu back now -- at least, if you are root on your machine. See the patch in bug 321640 or the relavant thread on the mailing list, especially this post: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-list/2005-November/msg00278.html
