GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 327393
Saved custom report causes application crash
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:55:17 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Create and save a custom report. 2. Modify the custom report (perhaps at a later time when you when you change the date range or add a new expense account) and then save the modifed report. 3. This will create two same-named entries in the saved-reports-1.8 file. 4. The next time you try to run that custom report GnuCash will crash and you find yourself looking at the Gnome desktop. Stack trace: I don't know how to get this because the crash produces no error messasge. Other information: I have searched bugzilla for similar bug reports and found 312625 and 168250. I beleive that all of these problems are being caused by duplicate entries in the saved-reports-1.8 file. Is there some way that the "Save Report" command can ask if you want to overwrite an existing report or create a new one? I think that change would alleviate all these kinds of problems. Note: I am running Fedora 4 and GnuCash 1.8.12 is the most recent version available at the Fedora Updates repository.
Yes, bug#168250 is the same issue. I'll close this report as duplicate to make this more obvious. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 168250 ***
