Do not translate ETable property nicknames
Last modified: 2009-05-03 03:23:42 UTC
#: ../widgets/table/e-table-field-chooser-dialog.c #: ../widgets/table/e-table-field-chooser-item.c #: ../widgets/table/e-table-field-chooser.c #: ../widgets/table/e-table-header-item.c msgid "DnD code" don't expect every translator to understand what "DnD" means (see e.g. comment 8 of bug 261071.). please add a translator comment how this is meant, both explaining DnD="Drag and Drop" *and* what "DnD code" means in this context.
Created attachment 71348 [details] [review] Translator comment added.
well, this still does not explain what "DnD code" means in this context. :-)
Created attachment 73480 [details] [review] Resubmitting the patch.
this still does not make sense at all to me from the point of view of a translator - what is "type character pointer"? do i have to be a developer to understand this or what? what does "contains the name" mean here? is this interesting for me as a translator at all, does it help me translating that term properly? i doubt. again: where can *i* (as a normal *user* of evolution) see this string in the UI? how can i access it? you still don't consider if it should be translated at all. :-/
I dont think these has to be translated. What is the point in translating debug strings? Im rejecting the patch.
ah, nice to know. so it should just not be marked as translatable, okay.
Bumping version to a stable release.
Unmarking all the GObject properties in these files. There's no need to translate any of them; no user or even developer will ever see the translation. Fixed in http://git.gnome.org/cgit/evolution/commit/?id=cb94029bdec4c4b885daa6337e6de9ffb1b9eae2
