Description Gaute Hope 2005-12-15 00:27:23 UTC
What is left for the 1.0 release?
Comment 1 Gaute Hope 2005-12-15 11:33:56 UTC
Report bugs seperatly, and I'll make them blockers of this.
Comment 2 Gaute Hope 2005-12-20 00:57:30 UTC
depends on bug 324547, distcheck should work before 1.0
Comment 3 Gaute Hope 2005-12-20 01:01:16 UTC
depends on bug 324135, context menu should be translated.
Comment 4 Philip Van Hoof 2005-12-21 12:57:36 UTC
depends on bug 300862, icon preview should work
Comment 5 Philip Van Hoof 2005-12-21 12:58:58 UTC
depends on bugs 324697 and 324698, no junk in the CVS repository. This will make it harder for packagers
Comment 6 Philip Van Hoof 2005-12-21 13:01:06 UTC
depends on bug 324699, no generated files in CVS.
Comment 7 Rodrigo M. Fombellida 2005-12-22 17:52:25 UTC
About translations:

Running "intltool-update -r" I see that there are many languages with many strings untranslated. A message to gnome-i18n@gnome.org announcing the release could encourage the translations. A release date would be very useful for translators.

User guide translations are a little frozen in Gnome at this moment, so don't expect too much for this release.
Comment 8 Gaute Hope 2005-12-23 00:26:54 UTC
It would be nice to have bug 324135 fixed first.
Comment 9 Gaute Hope 2005-12-24 00:10:30 UTC
Now it is fixed, and a notice has been sent. How long should we wait? A week? There shouldn't be any problem releasing a more translated version in some months.
Comment 10 Gaute Hope 2005-12-24 00:47:19 UTC
Just to do this formally, gnome-schedule is feature-freezed now. And unless something horrible wrong shows up, string-freezed aswell.
Comment 11 Rodrigo M. Fombellida 2005-12-24 01:16:06 UTC
A week should be enough for translators
Comment 12 Rodrigo M. Fombellida 2005-12-24 13:03:08 UTC
depends on bug 324919 (strings not marked for translation)
This breaks the string freeze
Comment 13 Gaute Hope 2005-12-24 13:12:50 UTC
No problem, the patch has been applied.
Comment 14 Gaute Hope 2005-12-29 19:52:16 UTC
