Description Michael Van Dorpe 2005-10-06 13:26:05 UTC
Distribution/Version: ubuntu breezy

Open a pdf file, open the side pane, change from thumbnails to index. Close the
pdf. Open the pdf.

Result: evince remembers that the side pane was open, but shows the thumbnails,
not the index.

Expected result: never show me the thumbnails...

It should be fixed in CVS, see the original bug if you are talking about state
of sidebar for same document.

For new document is't different problem, discussed in bug 168450

I don't see how "Bug 168450: Smarter initial window size" has anything to do
with making the sidebar load the index by default...
Comment 3 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2005-10-11 22:33:01 UTC
It should be called "Smarter UI for new documents". Anyhow similar problems
discussed there. Also see bug 316962: default view should be configurable
